We are always quick to find fault with someone or something. I think it is time to compliment our manager Charlie Davison on the vast improvement in appearance of The Cove. Have you looked at what has been done to the floor of the Poolside Room at the Club House? It is beautiful. The landscaping at the two Club Houses and the POASC office is a big step up. The recent painting of the "Storm Sewers" in parts of The Cove and the painting of the fire hydrants greatly improves our appearance. Charlie, I thought that for a change someone should say thank you for your efforts.

I feel Charlie and the entire Staff does a good job for thr Property Owners but lets not put blinders on. As we read items on this Blog we see that there is room for improvement and some of these items are under the control of the Manager and his staff. The reason a lot of these items are being addressed are because they are presented “HERE” on this Blog which presents them in black and white for all to see and respond to. Sally is correct in attending the Town Hall Meeting on Aug. 23, it should give Property Owners the chance to speak up and be heard. I hope that everyone keeps in mind that you can not please everyone all of the time and therefor everyones needs will not be addressed in the manner that indivuals feel they should be but hopefully in the interest of the majority of Property Owners. I think #5 should attend the Town Hall Session on Aug. 23.
I do not wish to seem impertinent but # 5 is who we need to listen to especially. If someone has legitimate needs that are not currently being met we need to give them an audience and act upon their issues.
I for one have begged since my arrival here for access to a currently correct list of approved contractors after having been repeatedly insulted at the office when seeking the information.
I love to see a site that has all positive comments (I’ll ignore #5). I agree with all of the comments above. I think all of the paid personnel and volunteers do tremendous jobs and we should recognize that periodically. This gives us a place to do it.
I do agree that the people in the office at Spanish Cove are always helpful and most of all friendly.
I have on more than one occassion been to the office and not always happy. I will say, I feel I am being treated fair in the end. I think Charlie, Danny and Tammy and other office personnell are wonderful. Thank you for alway listening when I am not always happy.
By the way the Troll that appeared in my front yard was from down the street. He must have wandered off but I left him out front and his owner showed up to carry him home.

So glad that you like the site and thanks for all of your positive comments. You’re right, Spanish Cove is really looking nice thanks to Charlie, Board members and other associated personnel. Since Spanish Cove is finally getting back on track again can’t wait to see what the future will bring.

AHA! Thanks to Charlie’s report in the July UPDATE, I now know who to thank for the picnic table. Thank you Mr. Dennis Sims. Nadine Larson is doing a great job in the poolside restrooms. WOW! I can go in there now without choking. I have long appreciated Marcy’s gardening skills and it was nice to have her get the “pat” on the back she deserves. I love this site. Thank you Sandra and Sally and everyone else involved in the coveconnections. Are ya’ll “UPTOWN” or what!

Yep, Charlie does whatever to please the property owners that live in the cove but for people like me that have not retiered yet, he is a pain in the butt.
Dave–i would like to add my kudos to those expressed–if fact i used the path for the first time a couple weeks ago & when i got home i called the office & gave then a thumbs up on the project & how much safer & logical the crossing is now–i know that the question of a golf cart crossing has been discussed at the golf cart club meetings–whatever caused it to be completed all envolved please take a bow–i too love it here–
Jenny, while I appreciate your thank you for the golf cart path very much, I believe you give me to much credit. Charlie, Ben Bonnet and I did discuss the benefits of having a path along route 99, however credit for the one we have belongs entirely to Charlie. It was he who developed the idea to utilize the land POASC owns, and had our maintenance staff build it.
And thank you Gretchen for keeping the pool so nice and thank you Dave for the new Cart path. I sure do love it here.
I agree the clubhouse is beautiful. Kudos to Carol Ann for the beautiful interior decoration. Thanks to Marci Lake, the landscaping gives Spanish Cove great curb appeal. Thanks, ladies.
