The members of the 2009-2010 POASC Board met to elect officers for the year. Frank Lennox, Joan Fletcher, Judy Deeter were reelected to their offices, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary, respectively.

Ben Bonnet will take over the Treasurer’s position; De Olivia Dickey will be Assistant Secretary and Sue Huff will assume the Assistant Treasurer’s position.

Committee Chairmen for the year are Activities, Judy Deeter; Administrative, Sue Huff; Communications, Dale Morsette; Finance, Dale Morsette; PDM, Frank Meier; Regional Concerns, Sharon Bemis; Roads & Drainage, Tom Pinkerton; Rules, Joan Fletcher; Safety, De Olivia Dickey.

Bonnet previously served as Treasurer until March 2008, when his second term as Director ended. Tom Pinkerton had served as Chairman of Roads and Drainage in his previous term. Joan Fletcher has moved from Administrative to Rules Committee. Sue Huff has moved from Activities to Administrative and Dale Morsette has taken on an additional committee, Communications.

These changes will take effect on April 1 when the new fiscal year begins. A training session for all board members will be held on Tuesday, March 31.

There are two vacancies on the board due to resignations last year. One is a two-year term and the other is one year. Those interested should submit a resume to Chairman Frank Lennox.

A vacancy “may be filled by the Chairman, subject to the approval of a majority of the Board. The Chairman shall consider as a possible appointment, among others, those who were unsuccessful candidates in the last previous election,” according to the ByLaws Section 6.7 Vacancies.

All committees can use new members. Those who are interested should contact the appropriate chairman.
